Logo - Upgrade

Logo for a brand by the name of Upgrade. Brief required making the letter 'U' more like a superhero logo, with the palette later decided as blue, gold, white and black.

Eventually settled on a U and upward arrow forming the silhouette of a shield. It says 'Upgrade' without being too obvious and the border helps infuse that heroic touch.

This also marks my first hand in using Illustrator. I'd dabbled before, but this was the first attempt at getting something final out of it.
